Chocolate Peanut Butter cookie
Twist for carob or chocolate chip peanut butter cookie
Ingredients: 1/2 c butter 1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 c sugar or (sucanat opt) 1 egg 1 c peanut butter (Arrowhead Mills Organic Peanut Butter) 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 to 1 1/2 c sifted flour or (whole wheat pastry flour opt) 1 pkg semi chocolate chips or (carob chips opt)
Directions: Preheat oven 375 degrees
Beat until soft 1/2 cup butter
Gradually add and continue to beat until smooth 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar or (sucanat opt)
Beat in 1 egg 1 cup peanut butter (ArrowheadMills Organic Peanut Butter) or your choice 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp vanilla
Add 1 to 1-1/2 cups sifted flour or (whole wheat pastry flour opt) Fold In 1 pkg. chocolate chips or (carob chips opt)
Roll dough into small balls and place them on a buttered cookie sheet. Flatten with a fork. Bake aprox. 10-12 mins or until done.
